Save Business Program

The Program “I save by doing business – Change device for businesses” aims to improve the energy efficiency of businesses and reduce the consumption of primary energy/carbon dioxide emissions.Through the Program, investment projects are subsidized with 50% for total costs up to 20,000 euros plus VAT, for Small and Very Small Businesses. (For Medium and Large businesses the Subsidy amounts to 40%, for investment projects up to 25,000 euros).What is subsidized: > Eligible for subsidy are energy saving interventions such as:Air conditioners, Lighting (Led and automation). Buildings: Frames, Insulation, Thermal insulation, Shading with thermal insulation. Heating systems using Heat Pumps. Solar Heating Systems. > Supplementary Services or Expenses such as:Smart Meters (up to 20% of the total budget) are also subsidized. Installation work for the above (up to 25% of the total budget). Consultants’ fees for submitting the application (maximum up to 300 euros plus VAT). Issuance of the 2 necessary PEAs (Energy Performance Certificates) up to 400 euros plus VAT per PEA. > Finally, Production Equipment Expenses* are subsidized such as:Ovens – Kitchens Refrigerators – freezers Washing machines – dryers Business Equipment (eg vacuum cleaners in cleaning companies). Issuance of 2 Energy Audits by a competent Energy Inspector of the Ministry of the Interior, up to 500 euros plus VAT per Audit. (It is mandatory in cases of industrial facilities, in crafts, professional workshops, warehouses – logistics, which will be subsidized for Production Equipment Expenses. [*Production Equipment Expenses require an Energy Audit as they are not included in the PEA.]Duration – Expenditure Eligibility: Eligible are all expenses that have been realized from 21.02.2024 (date of announcement of the action) up to 6 months after the Approval Decision of a ProjectBasic Condition for Inclusion Through the investment carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) must be saved by at least 30%, as will result from the comparison of the two PEAs (Energy Performance Certificates).Specifically, from the 1st PEA submitted by 15/5/2024 and before the start of the investment, a 30% saving should be achieved, in relation to the 2nd PEA which is submitted after the completion of the InvestmentThe 2 PEAs are carried out by different energy inspectors/auditors. Other Conditions Eligible are all businesses that were established by 31.12.2023 and have a legal license to operate. In case the grant concerns a leased space, written consent of the Owner is also required for the subsidized interventions. The same costs cannot be subsidized by another program. Submission of Applications: Applications are submitted through the online platform of the Save by Doing program “Change device for businesses”.There is a priority order as the immediate evaluation method (First in-First out) is applied.The final date of the Program is May 15, 2024 or until the funds of the action are exhausted (105.6 million euros).
